Public shelters
No one looks forward to dealing with disasters, but if it meets the unexpected, you can proceed with confidence when you're ready for the unexpected. Everyone should pay for the hurricane, fire or an accident that you have to leave your home and seek shelter will be organized. Hotels, motels fill up quickly in emergencies, and many public shelters will not allow you to take your pet. If you are lucky enough to have a caravan, you can use it as an emergency shelter.
Prepare yourself in advance
If you have lived, is predicted when a hurricane, snowstorm or other severe weather, you know that supplies a large market quickly end. Even if you shop when you hear the news, the chances of all bottled water be gone when you get there. Realistically, you have no food and water for a week - and do not forget your pets. Plan simple meals and buy what is needed. Use dried food as much as possible. Make sure you have propane for cooking. Detergents, as you pack.
Remember, for wherever you go plan
Pack clothes for your climate and seasons. Store copies of all important documents in the RV in case you lose your home. Do you have a list of possible safe parking in the caravan with maps and driving directions, obtained for each of them. Keep the car's gas tank filled, and store extra gasoline to go. Maintaining your RV in good mechanical condition and monitor the media regularly. Remember, operating a battery-powered radio and extra batteries. You can get some games and books on board, as well. If you have everything ready to go, you will save precious minutes when they counted.
Everyone should have a job
Each person to be evacuated in the event of an emergency has a job to do. Someone can always be responsible for the pets in the RV. Second, the cost of medicines. Assign one person to count on the top. You can probably think of other things that are on the list. Once a month you plan to test an emergency, where every person is responsible for his evacuation duties.
Disasters can occur without warning. With a little thought and preparation, you and your family are ready for almost immediate evacuation. Plan and hold your head.
